We had lunch club today at North Grecian Street and I think overall it went well. We have a plan to teach the kids (at both the lunch club at North Grecian and the after school club at Brentnall) the basics about Christianity, because most of them don’t know the things that most of us grew up hearing about in Sunday school. Last week we taught them about the Bible and what all we could find in the Bible, and this week and next week we are teaching them about prayer–how to pray, what to pray for, the fact that God hears everything we pray to him for and that he cares what we have to say. We have some fun lessons and crafts–a variety of ways to present it. It seems like they had fun today, so that’s good! π We have youth club at Albert Park tonight–they are having work done on the club, tearing down walls and such, so that they can expand the rooms and make space for fun things like computers and a Wii-it should be complete in the near future, which is really exciting! And it would be awesome if that would draw more kids into coming! That is a major prayer request π
I’m going through the whole process of finding a roommate and dorm and all that fun stuff for next year. And God has definitely answered my prayers and provided me with an awesome Christian roommate–we’ve hit it off and I can’t wait to meet her in person! π And I should be hearing back any day now from T Bar M (the camp I applied to work at this summer), so I will let you know when I know something! Please pray that God’s will would be done in that situation.
Our spring break is the week following Easter Sunday, and my mum is coming to visit me, which I am SO excited about!! I can’t wait to see her! We’re going to go to Wales, Chester, and Paris while she’s here…it should be a great experience for both of us!
I pray that each of you would draw so near to the heart of our God this Easter season and you would be blessed every day by His love and mercy! I love all of you! π
My roommate and I in City Centre!
An area near where we live called the Landslide–the River Irwell runs through it and it’s beautiful, especially on sunny days! π
