Happy Thanksgiving to everybody!! I hope you had a wonderful day yesterday–with family, with great food, and with many things to be thankful for! We actually had our Thanksgiving dinner today (Friday) here because today is our day off–and we had ministry to do yesterday. Although it wasn’t my Mom’s food, it was still an amazing meal and a very special time with my team, all of whom have become family members to me. Doesn’t it look brilliant?? 🙂
Also, I just wanted to thank every one of you for your prayers for our after school club at Brentnall–after an absolutely terrible experience with it last week, we went into it yesterday not knowing what to expect. When we got there, we told the kids that the best behaved person would get a sweet at the end, and if they all behaved, they would all get sweets. From that point on (actually, even before we told them about the sweets), they were the sweetest, most well-behaved kids we have worked with yet! It was so incredible and such an answer to prayer! We ended up having a blast at the after school club–praise God!
Last night we also had youth club at Albert Park. We’re getting to know the kids there a lot better and one of the girls there last night actually asked me if I wanted to go shopping with her sometime soon–so that is extremely exciting for me!! Last week all of the leaders of the youth club met to decide what we could do to draw more kids there and we decided to start a football team–last night at youth club we had the first practice and the kids all seemed to enjoy it, so that’s really exciting!! Here is a picture of the youth club:
Yesterday was such an encouraging day ministry-wise, so keep your prayers coming because they’re definitely being answered!! Prayers would also be appreciated for us to finish the semester strong and keep persevering until Christmas and not to give up before then. I am so thankful for all of you–see you soon!!
